Daisy Meets Black: PEACEMINUSONE × WILDSIDE YOHJI YAMAMOTO

G-Dragon’s daisy blooms against Yohji Yamamoto’s black silhouettes

G-Dragon’s daisy has bloomed against Yohji Yamamoto’s black silhouettes.

To mark its 10th anniversary, G-Dragon’s fashion brand PEACEMINUSONE has teamed up with WILDSIDE YOHJI YAMAMOTO, the collaborative project of Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto, for a special capsule collection.

Founded in 2016, PEACEMINUSONE has built a distinctive fashion world around its daisy with one petal missing. Since launching in 2022, WILDSIDE has collaborated with a range of brands and artists, drawing on Yohji Yamamoto’s signature black palette and experimental designs.

The two brands, which come from different backgrounds, use PEACEMINUSONE’s signature daisy and a vintage pin-up girl illustration as shared artwork for this collection. Applied to leather jackets, long coats and tote bags, the artwork brings their respective design philosophies together in one collection.

A Daisy Blooming on Black Leather

At the heart of the collection is a leather jacket offered in black and brown. Its relaxed silhouette and restrained front contrast with bold graphics on the back.

The black leather jacket pairs glossy leather with a zip closure, flap pockets and ribbed details. A small PEACEMINUSONE logo on the chest keeps the overall look understated.

The back, by contrast, features a pin-up girl dressed in white, a large daisy and pale blue “10th Anniversary” lettering, creating a look entirely different from the front.

The brown version, unveiled alongside it, emphasizes the vintage texture of its dark brown leather. Like the black jacket, it has only a small logo on the front, maintaining a restrained design.

On the back, an illustration of a pin-up girl dressed in black and seated on a daisy appears alongside gold 10th-anniversary lettering, creating a more classic feel. The two jackets share a design concept, but their colors and graphics give each a distinct character.

A Surprise Beneath a Restrained Exterior

While the leather jackets command attention with bold graphics on the back, the black long coat expresses the collaboration’s identity more subtly through the contrast between its exterior and lining.

With wide lapels, a double-breasted closure and a long silhouette, the coat evokes Yohji Yamamoto’s restrained aesthetic. Inside, however, is an entirely different design.

The white lining features a large pin-up girl illustration, a daisy and 10th-anniversary graphics, while a striped pattern inside the sleeves creates a striking contrast with the black exterior.

The lookbook shows the coat turned inside out to reveal its lining, demonstrating how one piece can create two very different impressions.

Pink Enters a World of Black

The collection’s most vividly colored piece is an oversized pink leather tote bag, which adds a different mood to a lineup dominated by black and brown.

The spacious bag features a pin-up girl with roses in her hair, a daisy and the WILDSIDE logo on the front, along with pale blue 10th-anniversary lettering. The combination of vivid pink and a vintage illustration catches the eye.

While the leather jackets and long coat layer PEACEMINUSONE’s graphics over Yohji Yamamoto’s dark aesthetic, the pink tote bag more directly expresses G-Dragon’s free-spirited, bold sensibility.

How Two Different Worlds Meet

This collaboration goes beyond placing two brand logos on a single product. It finds meaning in reinterpreting the signature graphics PEACEMINUSONE has developed over the past decade through WILDSIDE YOHJI YAMAMOTO’s silhouettes and materials.

Contrasting elements—restrained black and a flamboyant pin-up girl, substantial leather and a cheerful daisy—coexist within the same designs, creating a distinctive balance between two different fashion languages.

This capsule collection celebrating PEACEMINUSONE’s 10th anniversary will launch first on Friday, October 23, through the official PEACEMINUSONE online store and will also be available from Friday, October 30, through the official WILDSIDE online store and at offline retailers in Japan.
