Two Sides of London Meet: Burberry and Palace

A 10-piece limited-edition collaboration marks the opening of a new flagship store in London's Soho

British fashion house Burberry and London-based streetwear brand Palace have unveiled a new collaborative collection.

Created to celebrate the opening of Palace's new flagship store in London's Soho on Thursday, November 5, the 10-piece collection combines Burberry's traditional check pattern and outerwear with Palace's graphics and skateboarding culture.

A 10-Piece Collection Reinterprets Burberry's Heritage

The centerpiece of the collaboration is Burberry's Camden Car Coat. A screen print inspired by the British countryside overlays the brand's signature honey-beige color, offering a fresh take on the classic design.

Images of trees, houses and waterwheels depicting the British countryside cover the coat, while a large graphic on the back combines Palace's Tri-Ferg with Burberry's Equestrian Knight Design.

Palace's identity comes through more directly in a hooded jacket featuring Burberry's check pattern. The check covers the hood, body and sleeves, while a large collaborative logo on the back contrasts Burberry's traditional design with Palace's graphics.

The two brands' design elements carry through to the accessories. A skateboard deck covered in Burberry check features a graphic combining the Tri-Ferg and Equestrian Knight Design, while a checked ball cap bears Palace's “P” logo, linking Burberry's signature pattern to skate culture.

The white long-sleeve T-shirt has a comparatively understated design. A small graphic combining the two brands' emblems sits on the chest, highlighting the collaboration while offering an everyday style distinct from the outerwear.

A Collaboration Sold Only at the New London Store

Palace has worked with brands including Gucci, Vivienne Westwood, Polo Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein, bringing skateboarding culture into various areas of fashion. Burberry, meanwhile, collaborated with Supreme in 2022. This meeting of the two brands brings distinct identities in British fashion together in one collection.

The collaboration is also tied to the relocation of Palace's London store. Palace closed its former location on Soho's Brewer Street on September 21 and has been preparing a new, multilevel flagship store on nearby Poland Street. It unveiled the Burberry collaboration to coincide with the new store's opening.

Unlike a typical collaborative collection, these pieces are store exclusives that Palace says will be available in very limited quantities. So far, the only announced sales location is the new flagship store in London's Soho, which opens on November 5.

Centered on Burberry's outerwear and check pattern, the collection also makes Palace's identity unmistakable through skateboards and logo graphics. It's a shame there will be no online release, but it may still go down as one of Palace's most memorable collaborations.
