Running repeats the same motion, but every runner has a different goal and pace.
For some, running is a daily training routine; for others, it is a marathon that tests the results of months of preparation.
Adidas and French running brand Satisfy have joined forces again after unveiling their first collaboration, the Adizero Adios Pro 4, last May.
The newly unveiled second collection comprises the Adizero Adios Satisfy, based on the Adios 9, and the Adizero Adios Pro EVO 2 Satisfy, a top-tier marathon racing shoe. The two models take different technical approaches to their respective purposes.

Adidas technology, Satisfy’s perspective
Founded in Paris in 2015, Satisfy combines functional running apparel with experimental design. The brand has focused not only on technical performance but also on the culture surrounding running and runners’ identities.
Adidas also announced a long-term partnership between the two brands last May, identifying the intersection of performance technology and running culture as a central direction for the collaboration.
This collection takes that approach a step further: rather than simply changing the colors of existing running shoes, it alters materials and construction to suit each model’s purpose.
The Adios for training days
The Adizero Adios Satisfy is a redesign of the Adios 9 for track workouts, tempo runs and fast runs of 10 km or less.
Its most notable feature is the Lightlock 2.0 upper used on the Adizero Adios Pro 5. This is the first time the technology has been applied to a running shoe outside the Pro line.

A one-way-stretch, one-piece woven material combines with internal support bands to follow the foot’s movement while maintaining a secure hold. Serrated laces reduce the chance of the knot coming undone during fast runs.
The midsole uses Lightstrike Pro EVO foam, while a nylon shank under the middle of the foot balances low weight with stability. Unlike marathon racing shoes that use carbon rods, this setup emphasizes ground feel and quick foot turnover.

Underfoot, a lightweight Lighttraxion GCPU outsole is paired with Continental rubber in the forefoot for grip. The shoe weighs 172 g in a US size 9.
It comes in two colorways, Easy Blue and Tech Earth. A grid-patterned upper, pearl-metallic Three Stripes and a textured midsole finish express Satisfy’s design aesthetic.

The Pro EVO 2 for marathon day
While the Adios focuses on repeated training sessions, the Adizero Adios Pro EVO 2 Satisfy unveiled alongside it is designed for the moment runners chase a time in a marathon race.
Adidas’ top-tier marathon racing shoe, the Pro EVO 2, is built for extreme lightness and high energy return. For this collaboration, it gains a metallic silver color extending from the upper through the midsole, along with translucent reinforcement.

The thin engineered-mesh upper is designed to minimize weight, while translucent material reinforces the areas around the lace holes, toe and heel.
Lightstrike Pro EVO foam runs through the entire midsole, with carbon-infused EnergyRods 2.0 inside to provide efficient propulsion at high speeds.
EnergyRods 2.0 work with a rocker construction that helps the foot roll naturally forward. With this setup, the shoe weighs 148 g in a US size 9.

A particularly notable change in this collaboration is the outsole: the standard Pro EVO 2’s lightweight liquid rubber has been replaced with full-length Continental rubber.
Where the standard model prioritizes extreme weight reduction, the Satisfy collaboration uses Continental rubber in a construction that also considers grip and durability.

2:02:16: A lineage proven in competition
The significance of the Pro EVO 2 name can also be seen on the marathon course.
At the Berlin Marathon on September 21, 2025, Kenya’s Sabastian Sawe wore the Adizero Adios Pro EVO 2 and won the men’s race in 2 hours, 2 minutes and 16 seconds.
Sawe wore the standard model on which this Satisfy collaboration is based, demonstrating that Adidas’ top-tier racing technology is used at the highest level of marathon competition.
The collaborative model retains that technical foundation while changing the outsole material and appearance, bringing the existing running shoe’s performance together with Satisfy’s design language.

STAY POSSESSED
The message Satisfy emphasizes in this collaboration is “STAY POSSESSED.”
The Adios and Pro EVO 2 differ in purpose and technical construction, but both are made for runners deeply absorbed in the act of running.
One is aimed at the countless hours of repeated training; the other, at marathon day, when those hours become a race result.
The Adidas × Satisfy collection will be available on Friday, October 30, 2026, through select retailers, including the Adidas Confirmed app and Satisfy’s online store.
