Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday, November 27, but major shopping platforms and brands in South Korea began their sales in late October. By November 2, KREAM, Coupang, Gmarket, Kurly and Dyson were among the brands running major promotions at the same time.
November, when Black Friday in the United States and the Singles’ Day shopping festival in China take place, has become a shopping season in South Korea, too. This year, competition on discounts across winter new arrivals, everyday essentials, appliances and travel products began ahead of the main events, prompting consumers to shop earlier.
ETC_ZINE compiled the main discounts and schedules from brand announcements and press releases available as of November 2, 2026, distinguishing confirmed promotions from brands whose 2026 plans have not yet been announced and for which only 2025 sale records are available.
Fashion and sneakers: Winter shopping starts before Black Friday
In fashion, KREAM is holding its Black Friday Season Off sale from 11 a.m. on November 2 to 11 a.m. on November 9. It is targeting winter fashion shoppers with discounts of up to 88%, 1,000-won deals, 50% coupons for the first customers and 24-hour specials on brands and products.
W Concept, which is taking part in Shinsegae Group’s SSG Day, is offering 24-hour brand days and brand coupons of up to 30% from October 30 through November 8. During the same period, Shinsegae V is offering brand-specific e-point payback and shopping coupons for the first customers.
Unlike an immediate discount, Shinsegae V’s payback comes as points that can be used on a later purchase. If product prices are similar, shoppers should compare whether an immediate discount or points back offers better value for the purchase.
Offline, TOPTEN is running its Ten Ten Day sale through November 8, with discounts of up to 50% on lightweight padded jackets, fleece and knitwear. Lotte Outlet’s Surprise Week and Shinsegae Simon Premium Outlets’ SSG Day also offer additional discounts on outlet prices through the same date, giving shoppers planning to buy winter outerwear more options.
Online marketplaces: Discount competition heats up in the first week of November
Among online marketplaces, Naver Plus Store is running its Neolda Sale on around 10 million products from October 26 through November 8. SSG.com is also offering SSG Day discount coupons and grocery-shopping credits through November 8.
From November 1 through 11, 11st’s Grand 11.11 Festival features special prices focused on appliances, travel and fresh food, with around 180 brands taking part. Lotte ON is also running its Black ON Sale through November 8, offering discount coupons of up to 20% and additional stackable coupons of up to 9%.
Coupang’s WOW Members Day began on November 2 and runs through November 8, with discounts of up to 70% on more than 370,000 products. WOW members can also get a 10,000-won discount coupon on purchases of at least 30,000 won or a 30,000-won coupon on purchases of at least 100,000 won. The coupons are offered daily on a first-come, first-served basis at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Gmarket is holding Big Smile Day through November 13, featuring around 3,000 specially priced products, exclusive deals unveiled each day at midnight and first-come, first-served coupons. While Coupang emphasizes purchase-amount coupons for members, Gmarket focuses on individual deals and discounts tied to payment methods.
With discount periods overlapping at the two platforms and other major online retailers, shoppers buying the same product would do well to compare the final price after coupons and the delivery terms, rather than relying on the advertised discount rate alone.
From E-Mart’s SSG Day to Kurly Black Week, discounts on food and household goods
In food and household goods, Shinsegae Group’s SSG Day spans the widest range of retail channels. From October 30 to November 8, E-Mart, Traders and E-Mart Everyday are holding promotions on fresh food, daily necessities and popular foods.
E-Mart is offering up to 50% off and buy-one-get-one-free deals on selected fresh foods and household goods. Traders is promoting special prices on popular foods such as Shine Muscat grapes, sweet potatoes and frozen durian, while E-Mart Everyday is discounting everyday grocery items including fruit, seafood and convenience foods.
Lotte Mart is offering weekly discounts on fresh food and daily necessities through its Mega Tongkeun promotion from October 29 to November 11. Homeplus is also running its “Homeplus is BACK” promotion through November 4, but prices for some items vary depending on whether shoppers pay with a promotional card, so it is worth checking in advance.
Kurly is holding Black Week from November 2 to 9, offering time-limited sales and first-come, first-served coupons on about 2,000 food, beauty and home products. Key deals include a 20,000-won discount coupon for purchases of 50,000 won or more and trial deals on selected items for 990 won.
From Olive Young to Medicube, beauty discounts gather pace
In beauty, Olive Young is holding a Black Friday promotion from November 1 to 7. Its offers include Last Pick discounts on items that vary by store, daily and weekly special prices, and limited-quantity Black Prize boxes, setting the event apart from its regular Olive Young sales.
Hair brand Juno Hair is also running a Black Friday promotion from November 1 to 15, focusing on head spa and hair-care services and hair products. Chicor, which is participating in Shinsegae Group’s SSG Day, is offering special prices on beauty products through November 8.
Medicube’s official online store is offering one-day specials on selected cosmetics for 11,000 won, along with buy-one-get-one-free and buy-two-get-two-free promotions on pads, cleansers and masks. If you need any of these products, it may be worth taking a look.
Meanwhile, Myprotein has announced its 11.11 Super Sale, starting November 10. Kurly will hold Kurly Beauty Festa at Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul from November 12 to 15, an in-person event where visitors can try products from 45 brands.
Although Kurly Beauty Festa is an experiential event that requires a paid admission ticket, it is already attracting considerable interest. Those planning to attend may want to set aside time on the relevant dates.
Samsung, LG and Dyson: Appliance discounts continue throughout November
In home appliances, Samsung Electronics is offering discounts on 11 major product categories, including TVs, refrigerators and washer-dryers, through its Korea Grand Festival from November 1 to 30. LG Electronics is also running Black Friday promotions at its official online store and physical stores from October 29 to November 30.
LG Electronics’ official online store is offering an app-exclusive coupon pack worth a total of 1 million won, with coupons available according to purchase amount, as well as weekly special prices.
Dyson is offering discounts of up to 57% on selected hair devices and vacuum cleaners from November 2 to 22. Casetify is offering accessory discounts based on the number of items purchased, while online learning platform Coloso is offering new members a 35% coupon and first-come, first-served random coupons from November 2 to 9.
LEGO plans to hold an Insiders Weekend for members on November 21–22, followed by Black Friday and Cyber Monday promotions from November 27–30. The exact discounted sets and gifts by purchase amount will be announced later on its official promotion page.
For appliances in particular, discount rates can vary by model, year of release and included accessories. Even when comparing similar products from the same brand, shoppers should check both the specifications and the actual selling price.
Furniture, department stores and duty-free shops offer different types of discounts
Home-living platform Ohouse is offering Brand Week special prices and coupons, primarily on furniture and home décor, from November 2–8. Casamia is running special offers on Campo sofas, a first-purchase payback offer and random coupons worth up to 50% off from October 30 through November 8.
Shinsegae Department Store and Shinsegae Simon Premium Outlets are also taking part in SSG Day, but their online discounts run through November 8, while their main in-store events take place November 6–8. Shoppers should check the dates for their chosen purchase channel.
During the same period, Starfield will offer shopping benefits and hands-on events through its tenant brands. Shinsegae Duty Free will offer up to 70% off selected products and shopping benefits subject to conditions, while Shinsegae Shopping will provide 7% discount coupons and category-specific rewards, among other benefits.
For home-living products and department-store purchases, the discount rate alone does not determine the actual benefit. First-purchase eligibility, when points are credited and limits on using rewards also matter, so it is important to check the detailed terms before paying.
Discounts extend to overseas shopping, flights and hotels
For overseas shopping, AliExpress is offering special prices and promotions by payment method for its November Singles’ Day season. Croket has announced discounts of up to 87% on products from around the world, along with weekly hot deals, random coupons and coupon packs worth a total of 130,000 won.
In aviation, Air Premia is offering fares discounted by up to 72% on all routes departing Incheon from November 2–15, along with an additional discount code for members. Eastar Jet is also selling discounted tickets for November and December flights on 23 international routes, including destinations in Japan and Southeast Asia, from November 2–8.
Air Premia’s discounted fares vary by route and booking time, while Eastar Jet includes checked baggage on only some routes. When comparing flights, shoppers should check whether fares are one-way or round-trip, as well as taxes, fuel surcharges and baggage terms.
In the hotel sector, Josun Hotels & Resorts is offering limited SSG Day deals on rooms, restaurants and leisure activities through November 8. JW Marriott Hotel Seoul is also offering 20% off selected products, including its Flavors buffet.
Keep 2025 Black Friday dates separate from this year’s schedule
Some brands have yet to announce their main 2026 Black Friday sale dates, so last year’s schedules may offer a guide. In 2025, 29CM’s Winter Egu Week ran from November 3–13, while Musinsa’s Mujinjang Winter Black Friday ran from November 16–26. That suggests they may hold sales around the same time this year.
Final purchase terms matter more than the maximum discount rate
A defining feature of this November’s sales is that brand promotions are spread from late October through November 30, rather than concentrated on Black Friday itself. Consumers have more opportunities to choose when to buy, but also more terms to compare.
For example, even if both offer 50% off, a discount that applies only to certain products and a first-come, first-served coupon differ in how likely you are to be able to use them when making a purchase. Points back, card-payment discounts and free gifts are also hard to compare directly with an immediate cash discount.
Singles’ Day and Black Friday have not officially begun yet, so if you’ve had your eye on a product, buying it during this discount season may be fine. But if you don’t need it right away, it may be more efficient to wait for sales such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday in late November, compare the deals and then buy.
